Why are you chasing me for BAS information?

Updated: Aug 22

Computer and paperwork on desk with stopwatch

What if you could have a few more hours in the day? Or save a few more dollars and have a fabulous holiday? At ABA we try to make the magic happen, although we may not be able to do everything!

To improve efficiency for our clients, we aim to complete BAS’s 3 to 4 weeks before their due date.

Why are you chasing me so early?

When you know the amount that will be due in advance, you are then able to plan for this payment in your cash flow. We also use this proactive approach because it reduces a common stressor in business financial management and gives you more control over your finances.

ABA will send you an electronic request for your BAS information early in each new quarter. If we don’t receive a response, we will chase you up three more times in the following weeks. Our system prioritises workflow based on information being complete, so first in, best dressed.

What happens if you delay sending through your information or don’t respond to our requests?

While we always do everything in our power to progress a submission, without all the appropriate data, we may not be able to lodge your BAS in time. Which may lead to penalties and interest being charged by the ATO! Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that we can get penalties and interest remitted as the ATO is becoming more stringent in their application of these.

When can you send us your BAS information?

As soon as you receive your electronic client task notification, you can reply with the information we have requested.

While we may not be able to put more hours in the day, we can save you from paying costly fines and help you keep some money for a holiday. Don't delay, get it done today!
